Weaving Hedgehog- by Ryan & Marsha | This cute little activity works on bilateral coordination and delicate touch in order for the child to gently weave strips of construction paper through the slits in the body of the hedgehog to create a rainbow-bodied hedgehog. This hibernation idea provides kids with the engaging activity of hedgehog creation using play dough and toothpicks to create! Tactile, fine motor, and eye-hand coordination skills are in use with this fun little guy! Add googly eyes and draw a face on the playdough using one of the toothpicks. Create a ball of play dough (read about the benefits of play dough, too) and then poke the toothpicks into the back.
